Brasse Appraisal (31/7-2 A) – Intermediate section

What happened:

Skips were not practical and required a lot of manual handling to operate. The lids are heavy and don’t sit open in an efficient manner.

What was planned:

90 Cuttings skips sent out during section with serial no beginning SKFN

What was learned:

Swire have a Prefix Skip SKFB, which is better than the SKFN as it has a lid which will swing up easier due to it being counterbalanced at the opposite end. Skips beginning FMS are also easier to handle.

What actions are required:

Ensure the optimum skip type is mobilised to the rig for future operations.
